Creating Attribute Styles
Creating Attribute Styles
Illustrators and designers may often find themselves applying the same attributes to various vector objects within a layout. An attribute style is a set of attributes that you save and then apply to other objects. These styles help you maintain consistency and facilitate applying attributes.
If you want to use the same attributes for all vector objects, see Setting Default Attributes.
Attribute Styles Palette
With the Attribute Styles palette, you can create attribute styles and edit saved attribute styles and then reapply them to objects, rather than editing each individual attribute. You can even share attribute styles with others.
To Open the Attribute Styles Palette:
Choose Window | Palettes | Attribute Styles.
To Create an Attribute Style:
- Open the Attribute Styles palette.
- Select an object on which you want to base a style.
- Click the Create button.
- In the Define Style dialog box, enter a name for the style.
- Select all the attributes that will be included in the style.
- Click OK to save the style.
To Apply an Attribute Style:
- Open the Attribute Styles palette.
- Select the vector object to which you wish to apply the style.
- Click on the style name in the palette to apply it.

To Load or Append Attribute Styles:
