Copy text from Canvas X Draw and paste it into other applications using the Clipboard. In addition, you can use the Canvas X file filters to save selections and documents in other file formats. (See File and Data Exchange.) Keep in mind that if you save a document containing text and use a format that supports only raster images, Canvas X Draw rasterizes the text before saving the file, so you can’t edit it in the saved file.
Also, several Canvas X typographic capabilities aren’t available in other applications; e.g., character inks and strokes, text typed on a path, and wrapped text are unlikely to convert reliably. In some cases, such as rotated text, the export filters might rasterize the characters, and you will not be able to edit them as text.
Always save a copy in Canvas X format of files you want to export, in case the file conversion doesn’t give the results that you expected.
Canvas X Draw warns you that saving files in other formats might result in a loss of some information whenever you save using a format other than Canvas X.
