Overview: In order to correctly open assembly files in Canvas X3,  the associated part files need to be accessible to Canvas X3.  How you save your assemblies in your 3D CAD application and distribute these files is important. 

If you receive the following message when opening an assembly, then the parts are either not embedded in or properly associated with the assembly model:

Clicking the View error log will display what files are missing.
